Tree-cutting machine operator

As the operator of our tree-cutting machine, you are responsible for accurately cutting wooden beams and planks to size. You set up the machine correctly, monitor the quality of the cuts, and ensure a smooth and safe production process.

What you do

  • • Operating and monitoring the tree saw from the cab
  • • Assessing tree trunks based on wood species, diameter, shape, and quality
  • • Determining the best way to cut logs
  • • Take into account the properties and any defects of the wood
  • • Ensure optimal lumber yield and efficient operation of the sawing line
  • • Checking the quality and dimensions of the sawn lumber
  • • Performing daily checks and reporting malfunctions or anomalies
  • • Help ensure a safe and clean work environment

  • • You have technical knowledge of trees, tree species, and wood
  • • You have an understanding of the structure, quality, and properties of wood
  • • Experience with a tree saw or sawing equipment is a plus
  • • You work with precision and have an eye for quality and efficiency
